Fostering with Tower Hamlets

Fostering with your local council

By fostering for Tower Hamlets Council, you can make a difference to the life of a child from your local area. You’ll be supported by a team with knowledge of the borough’s communities and the needs of local children and families.

Where it is right for the child, council fostering can help them remain near their school, friends and wider support network. Maintaining these familiar connections can provide reassurance and continuity during a period of change.

Tower Hamlets works alongside Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest through Local Community Fostering. This council-led partnership allows the four boroughs to share expertise and learning while ensuring foster carers continue to receive locally focused support.

As a council foster carer, you’ll work directly with the professionals responsible for supporting the child, with their wellbeing at the centre of every decision.
